These rules apply to the whole site, it's categories, and sub-categories and is in addition to any rules posted in said categories and sub-categories. They are subject to change as needed at any time.
Breaking any of the following rules will earn you a warning. Once your warning meter fills up, you will be banned for a time TBD by the Administrators. For more information on the Warning System, see below.
1. No advertising in unauthorized areas.
2. No spamming at any time.
3. No abuse of any kind towards anyone at any time.
4. No “short posting” in RPG threads unless allowed (most often it is not). A preferred minimum of 150 to 200 words is expected.
Breaking any of the following rules will earn you a warning followed by a one-day ban for a repeat offense. If the warning fills up your warning meter, then you will be immediately banned for a time TBD by the Administrators. For more information on the Warning System, see below.
1. No highly explicit language. You are UNSC Marines! You are expected to talk dirty, but do not overdo it. Keep it clean.
Breaking any of the following rules will earn you an INSTANT BAN for a time TBD by the Administrators. Repeat offenses are grounds for a PERMANENT BAN. In addition to this, the Administrators will alert all of our affiliates of your permanent ban, the reason for it, your user name and display name, and last of all your IP address. Finally, your name and profile information will be posted on a Court Martial board with a short description of your reason for being there. This will serve as a purpose to deter other Marines from making the same mistake.
1. No explicit/graphic material of any kind, EVER.
2. This includes images, text, videos, music, references, links, etc. Keep the pin-ups to yourself!
Information on the Warning System
If you break any of the rules, or do anything not specified in the rules that is considered infringement upon them, you will receive a warning. Warning will fill up your warning meter, and if the meter reaches 100%, you will be banned for a time TBD. If you go a long enough time without receiving any warnings, any warning you have will be removed (in other words, you will have a clean slate).
Appealing a Warning/Ban
If you think that there is a mistake in the issuing of a warning or a ban, please send a PM or email to an Administrator or other staff member so that you may be given a fair chance to defend yourself. During this time, your account will be put under investigation, and will allow access to the Investigation Panel. While under investigation, any post, reply, thread, or similar act of public response (also referred to as "posting" or "post" in general) on the forum will be unauthorized. If an unauthorized post is found, it will be deleted, and will decrease the chances of a successful appeal. See the profile listed as "Example 1".
PLEASE NOTE: Any memeber, regardless of stature, may be summoned to the Investigation Panel for questioning in regards to another member's behavior. During this time, your account will be place on SUMMONS. See the profile listed as Example 2.
In the meantime, you will still be able to post, but are expected to come to the Investigation Panel ASAP when asked. If you dawdle in arriving (ex: continune posting in the RPG boards and etc.), you will be charged with obstruction of justice (yes, like in the real world), and your account will ALSO be under investigation.
If there are any questions, please post them in this board as a new thread and a Forum Moderator or Administrator will try to assist you as soon as possible to the best of their ability.
